Privacy policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This page explains how we process the personal data of people who visit the site and who write to us through the contact form, under Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
Wotta, Via Albano Sorbelli 8, Bologna, Italy, VAT IT03884241203. For any question about your data, write to info.wotta@gmail.com.
What data we collect
- Data you send us through the contact form: name, email, company (optional), the service you're interested in and your message.
- Browsing data: the systems that run the site automatically log some technical data, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time. They are used only to keep the site working and secure.
- Cookies: you'll find all the details in the cookie policy.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To reply to your request and, if needed, prepare a proposal: this is necessary to act on your request before any contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To run the site and protect it from abuse and cyberattacks: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To meet legal obligations if the contact becomes a business relationship: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We don't use your data for newsletters or promotional messages without specific consent, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
Requests received through the form are kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. If a business relationship begins, the necessary data is kept for the period required by Italian tax and civil law. Browsing data is kept only as long as strictly needed for the security of the service.
Who can access the data
Data is processed by the Wotta team members who handle requests. We also rely on providers acting as data processors:
- Bluehost (Newfold Digital, Inc.) (United States), for website hosting and for sending the requests submitted through the form.
- Google, for the email inbox where we receive and manage requests.
When data is transferred outside the European Union, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive it in a portable format (Articles 15-22 GDPR). Just write to info.wotta@gmail.com. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you can file a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Changes
We may update this policy if our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
